Ragi flour is made from ragi grains (finger millet), a highly nutritious ancient grain widely grown in India, especially in Karnataka, Uttarakhand, and parts of Maharashtra.
The grains are cleaned, dried, sometimes sprouted, and then finely ground into flour. Ragi has a reddish-brown color and a mildly earthy, slightly nutty flavor.
It is considered a “super grain” due to its exceptional nutritional profile, particularly its very high calcium and fiber content.
